Camp Staff

Do you think you have what it takes to become a member of the Sideline Spirit camp staff? If you consider yourself to be a positive role model for youth, have a passion for cheerleading, and exemplify talent, leadership, and excellence, then we want you!

We are now accepting applications and nominations for summer camp staff. Staff will be engaged in day-to-day camp activities including the instruction of cheers, chants, dances, stunts, jumps, team building and more. Applicants must have high school, collegiate, and/or professional cheerleading experience and be at least 18 years of age.

Step 1: The Application

Step 2: The Tryout

Video Tryout
 Submit a tryout video to Sideline Spirit by May 1st.

The tryout video should include the following: (1) Short Introduction (2) Cheer (3) Dance (optional for males) (4) 3 Jumps (5) 1 Running Tumbling Pass (6) 1 Standing Tumbling Skill (7) 2 Stunts (all girl, co-ed, or both). All tryout material must be performed on dead cheer floor, grass, court, or mat. Please do not use a spring floor.

Upon review of your tryout video, you will be contacted by a Sideline Spirit team member whom will let you know if you have been selected for an interview. 

Live Tryout
 Prefer to tryout in person? Give us a call to schedule your live tryout. Please come prepared to demonstrate the following: (1) Short Introduction (2) Cheer (3) Dance (optional for males) (4) 3 Jumps (5) 1 Running Tumbling Pass (6) 1 Standing Tumbling Skill (7). Remember to wear appropriate clothing and shoes to maximize performance. 

Step 3: The Interview

All live tryouts will be followed up with an interview. If you submitted a video tryout, a Sideline Spirit team member will contact you to let you know if you have been selected for an interview. During the interview just be yourself and try to answer the questions as best as possible. We want to see the real you, so let your SPIRIT shine. 

If selected to join our team, please be prepared to attend staff practices and training sessions prior to your camp date.
